Believe it or not, these custom built joint protectors are made from the same piece of Walnut!!  The center of the original piece of Walnut has been turned toward the outside ends of the protectors, which creates a sharper color contrast at the joint.  Each hand-carved piece displays multiple side cuts, an Ebony insert and hand-carved circles in the end.  The joint is 5/16-14 brass pin into wood threads.
